This session will open with a brief presentation of paintings by renowned artists including David Hockney, Henri Matisse and Eduard Munch. Take time to observe patterns and structures in the world around you, then your task is to explore how you can use stripes in your artwork. The topic is your choice, it may be a repetitive pattern, a landscape, interior décor or you may wish to convey an emotional experience. Please bring your usual sketching materials and any photos, textiles etc. that may be useful for inspiration. All abilities are most welcome and please remember to book.\n$15 for an optional sandwich lunch.\n
