DESCRIPTION:Tuesday 8 July at 12.15pm for 12.30pm\nSpeaker: Tilly Pohlmann \nJoin us for a special NAIDOC Week event featuring Tilly Pohlmann, an emerging art curator with a deep passion for contemporary Australian and First Nations art. Tilly is currently the Museum Manager at the Museum of Play and Art and is completing her Master of Art Curatorship. With academic roots in law and psychology, she brings a thoughtful and multidisciplinary approach to her curatorial work. In early 2024, Tilly spent time volunteering at Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation in Yuendumu, Northern Territory. Immersed in the daily operations of one of Australia’s most vibrant Aboriginal art centres, she assisted with conservation, cataloguing, and materials preparation while learning firsthand about Warlpiri culture and community-led art practices. Tilly’s recent research includes a published piece in the Institute for the Study of French-Australian Relations (ISFAR) newsletter, where she explored artistic dialogue between French and Australian artists. With a passion for amplifying First Nations voices through art, Tilly brings a fresh and thoughtful perspective to cultural storytelling.
