Expect a discussion that moves beyond David’s performance and public achievement to examine identity, resilience, reinvention and the emotional realities of creative leadership. Together, they will reflect on David’s extraordinary international career, the pressures and sacrifices of artistic pursuit, and the lessons that emerge when ambition, vulnerability and purpose intersect both on and beyond the stage.\nDavid Hallberg is one of the most distinguished dancers of his generation, having served as a Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre and the Bolshoi Ballet, Principal Guest Artist with The Royal Ballet, and Resident Guest Artist with The Australian Ballet. In 2010, he received the prestigious Benois de la Danse Prize for Best Male Dancer for his portrayal of Albrecht in Giselle with American Ballet Theatre. 2011 saw him make history as the first American appointed to the Bolshoi Ballet under the title of Premier Dancer. That same year, he performed in the inaugural ballet production reopening the newly renovated Bolshoi Theatre. In 2021, David was appointed the eighth Artistic Director of The Australian Ballet, where he currently remains leading the company.\nHelen Mantzis\nHelen Mantzis is an award winning brand strategist, marketer and cultural commentator whose career has spanned luxury, fashion, lifestyle, education and the arts. Her career includes senior leadership roles with The Just Group and launching major international retail brands in the Australian market. Helen is the founder and host of Loopels.com, a platform and podcast exploring the art of change through conversations on reinvention, resilience and identity with some of the world’s most influential creative and cultural figures. She is a Foundation Board Director of The Australian Ballet, a Board Director of The Hellenic Museum, a Council Member of Melbourne Grammar School and a member of the National Breast Cancer Foundation Giving Circle, supporting research, advocacy and patient care initiatives.\n$125.00 for a three course dinner with wine.\n
