SUMMARY:ANTIQUES AND COLLECTABLES
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday 1 July at 2.00pm with an optional lunch at 12.15pm\nSpeaker: Amanda Dunsmore, Senior Curator, International Decorative Arts & Antiques, NGV\nSubject: Cartier Exhibition\nPlease join us for a talk by Amanda on Cartier. Spanning the Maison’s early years at the turn of the 20th century through to its most contemporary creations, the exhibition brings together some of Cartier’s most iconic pieces, such as the panther brooch, the mystery clock and the Tank watch. Design drawings from the Cartier archives illuminate the creative process behind the works, offering a rare glimpse into their exceptional craftsmanship. Special Australian aspects of the exhibition will be Dame Nellie Melba’s Cartier and works featuring Australian opals.\n
