From the fall of Julius Caesar to the power and ambition of an Empire, the exhibition showcases the luxury of Imperial Rome, the spectacle of the gladiator arena, the bustling marketplaces and the everyday experiences of Romans. All objects are on display in Melbourne for the first time ever.\nWe will join an exclusive guided tour of the exhibition from 8.45am to 9.30am prior to the Museum’s opening time. You are welcome to stay on in the exhibition to explore at your leisure at the conclusion of the tour and to explore the rest of the Museum. There is a further optional guided Highlights Tour of the general collection departing at 10.30am, which is also available.\nWe will meet our tour guide at the Tour Lounge Meeting Point (located inside the Melbourne Museum foyer) 10 minutes before the tour commences, so please assemble by 8.30am.\nCost: If just attending the Rome tour, it will be a total of $42.00 This includes Museum entry and entry to the Rome exhibition to go back through after the tour.\nIf you are wanting to add a Highlights tour, it will be an extra $22.\nPlease book for either the Rome Tour (only) or the Rome Tour + the extra Highlights Tour as ticketed below.\nLunch/coffee at own cost.\nBookings for the event will close on 12 June.\n
