DESCRIPTION:Tuesday 26 May at 8.45am\nSubject: Werribee Open Range Zoo Elephant Trail\nZoos Victoria’s herd of nine Asian Elephants recently made an historic journey from Melbourne Zoo to its new 21-hectare habitat at the Werribee Open Range Zoo. The focus of this ramble will be a walking safari adventure to discover the elephants in their new world-class, open-range home.\nWe will meet at Flinders Street Station, inside the ticket barriers near the overhead platform and train displays, no later than 8.45am in time to catch the 8.58am Metro train to Werribee. We will then catch a local bus to the Zoo entrance. People can either walk to the Elephant Trail via the Waterhole Trail or take a shuttle bus. A trip around the Zoo on a safari bus is also an option. Lunch and coffee are available at the food precinct overlooking the elephant habitat. We will depart the Zoo at 3.00pm to catch the bus and train back to Melbourne arriving at Flinders Street at 4.18pm.\nCost: Zoo entry ticket $49.00 Seniors; $41 Concession, to be purchased in advance individually online before the day.
